After a pre-game tussle between No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 11 Texas on Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, every Longhorns and Sooners player was in jeopardy of automatic ejection during the Big 12 showdown.

The teams had to be separated at midfield following warm-ups, and Big 12 referee Mike Defee assessed every player -- including some who were not involved in the incident -- with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

NCAA rules state that two unsportsmanlike conduct fouls in the same game result in ejection.

Defee reiterated the warning to the team captains during the coin flip stating, "We're going to play this game with sportsmanship. Are we clear?"

Saturday marked the 115th meeting between the longtime rivals and the 92nd time they've played at the Cotton Bowl.
