Stephen Vogt hit a tiebreaking single in the 13th inning and homered, Christian Walker also went deep, and the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 10-8 in Denver on Tuesday night.
Ketel Marte had three hits, Asdrubal Cabrera had two hits and Matt Peacock (1-0) pitched the last three innings to get the win in his big-league debut for the Diamondbacks.
The start of the game was delayed 50 minutes due to weather.
Ryan McMahon hit three solo homers, a double and drove in four runs, and Dom Nunez and Sam Hilliard also went deep for Colorado on a cold night at Coors Field.
The teams scored single runs in the 10th and 12th innings before Arizona broke it open in the 13th off Ben Bowden (0-1). Tied 7-7 with two outs, Vogt looped a single to left to score Eduardo Escobar with the go-ahead run. Peacock singled and Marte hit a two-run double.
McMahon had an RBI double in the bottom of the inning.
McMahon and Nunez homered in the second and McMahon struck again in the fourth to make it 3-0.
Luke Weaver had an RBI in the fifth to make it 3-1.
Marte led off the sixth with a single and Walker hit his first homer of the season to tie it. German Marquez got through the rest of the inning before departing.
He allowed three runs on five hits and struck out five in six innings.
Weaver was lifted in the sixth. He allowed three runs on four hits and fanned three in 5 2/3 innings.
Geraldo Perdomo led off the seventh with a single and Vogt, who came on in a double switch in the sixth, homered to right to give Arizona the lead.
McMahon hit another solo homer in the bottom of the inning to cut it to 5-4. It was his fourth of the season.
Colorado had runners on first and second with one out in the eighth but couldn't drive in the tying run.
