Gen.G inched closely to a CWL Pro League playoff berth, sweeping Team Envy 3-0 Monday as the last week of regular-season action began at MLG Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

In other matches, both playoff-bound division leaders, OpTic Gaming and eUnited, earned victories, as did Midnight Esports, who are still fighting for a postseason spot.

OpTic edged Team Heretics 3-2, eUnited shut out Team Reciprocity 3-0, and Midnight defeated Elevate 3-1.

Two divisions of eight Call of Duty teams are playing a double round robin against opponents in their own division and a single round robin against foes in the other division.

The top four teams from each division after 12 weeks automatically move into the double-elimination playoffs, which will be held in July 19-21 in Miami, while the bottom four teams in each division will fight for a total of two play-in spots.

Each team will receive $44,375 for the regular season. The playoffs carry a $1.25 million prize pool, with $500,000 going to the winning side and $300,000 to the runner-up.

Gen.G, in second place in Division A with a 12-7 record, needs one more victory to seal a playoff position. Gen.G got past Envy 250-223 on Hacienda Hardpoint, 6-3 on Gridlock Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Gridlock Control.

OpTic, atop Division A at 15-4, beat Heretics 250-235 on Gridlock Hardpoint before dropping Arsenal Search and Destroy 6-3. OpTic swept Frequency Control 3-0, but Heretics captured Frequency Hardpoint 250-205. In the decisive fifth map, OpTic won Hacienda Search and Destroy 6-2.

eUnited, first in Division B at 16-3, dumped Reciprocity 250-201 on Hacienda Hardpoint, 6-5 on Arsenal Search and Destroy and 3-1 on Arsenal Control.

Midnight, who moved into fourth place in Division A at 10-9, jumped on top of Elevate by taking Seaside Hardpoint 250-149 and Gridlock Search and Destroy 6-5. Elevate took Frequency Control 3-2 before Midnight sealed the series with a 250-175 decision on Gridlock Hardpoint.
