Lawson Luckie

Norcross junior Lawson Luckie committed Wednesday afternoon to the reigning national champion Georgia Bulldogs football program.

Luckie is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound tight end who caught 34 passes for 337 yards and three touchdowns last season for Norcross’ state playoff team. He is ranked as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports.com composite rankings, which have him as the No. 287 player nationally (No. 14 tight end) and No. 29 overall junior in Georgia.

Luckie’s father Mike was a linebacker at Georgia, where he was a teammate of current Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart in the 1990s.
