Though the McDonald’s All-American Basketball Games have been called off for the second straight year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, local basketball was represented on the prestigious showcase’s list of nominees.

Eight Gwinnett players were nominated for game consideration this year.

The girls list featured Hebron Christian’s Nicole Azar, Carly Fahey, Malia Fisher and Carly Heidger, while Collins Hill’s Jailah Clark-Jones, Eden Sample and Sacha Washington also were nominated. The boys nominees included Shiloh’s Devon Barnes.
