VP.Prodigy announced Tuesday that Nikita "BloodyK" Dobrynin is leaving their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster and becoming a free agent.

BloodyK's last tournament with the Virtus.Pro academy team will be at ESEA Season 38: Intermediate Division -- Europe.

"I am grateful for the time I had in VP.Prodigy, but now It's time to move on," BloodyK said. "I want to thank the guys for everything, it was a fun and helpful experience. There's a lot of room to grow and I will do my best to succeed in esports. Right now I'm open to offers. As for the boys, I wish them the best of luck in their careers."

VP.Prodigy captain Alexey "RuFire" Burakov said the team's poor performance in the WePlay Academy League led to the lineup change.

"I kept moving pieces across the board, switching roles and testing new players, but as of now, BloodyK isn't one of them anymore," RuFire said. "We'll miss Nikita, but those kinds of things happen in sports all the time. All we can do is move on. BloodyK is still a close friend of mine and I can only wish he finds the success he deserves."

In addition to RuFire, the rest of the all-Russian VP.Prodigy roster includes Eugene "r3salt" Frolov, Armen "cheerful" Eskuzyan, Ivan "lom1k" Ovsyanik and coach Vladislav "Flash_1" Bykov.
