Vitality have officially parted ways with former captain Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, who was benched in September.
NBK had been with Vitality since the organization entered the CS:GO scene in 2018, but at the time of his benching there were reports of a rift between NBK and the rest of the French team.
"Thanks for your investment and your passion," Vitality tweeted Tuesday. "You will be forever part of our 1st ever CSGO line-up and for that we will always be grateful. Thanks for everything @NBK. Farewell."
Vitality rose to No. 2 in the world rankings in July following wins at cs_summit 4 and the ECS Season 7 Finals along with a runner-up showing at ESL One Cologne, but have since fallen out of the top five following months of inconsistent results.
