Outfielder/infielder Chris Taylor of the Los Angeles Dodgers wasn't in the starting lineup for Game 6 of the National League Championship Series against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday due to the right ankle injury he suffered in Game 5.

Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts said it was possible Taylor could be used off the bench. Roberts said Taylor didn't require X-rays or an MRI exam.

"He's moving around much better and feels better than he expected," Roberts said of Taylor.

Taylor, 30, suffered the injury while fielding a double by Freddie Freeman in the bottom of the eighth inning of Game 5. He remained in the game but was pinch-hit for by Edwin Rios in the top of the ninth.

Taylor has struggled in the series, going 2-for-14 with seven strikeouts.

A.J. Pollock is starting in left field in Saturday's must-win game. The Dodgers trail the best-of-7 series 3-2.
