SUWANEE — North Gwinnett opened Region 8-AAAAAAA play Tuesday night with a sweep of Mountain View.

The Bulldogs won 25-18, 25-17, 25-10 behind stellar play from Izzy Durnell (11 kills, six blocks, four digs), Shannon Quinn (30 assists, six digs) and Joya Screen (nine kills, seven digs, one ace). They also got contributions from Macey Sipmann (five kills, three blocks, two digs), Kendal Crumpler (five aces, 2.21 passing average, eight digs) and Jayden O'Dell (12 digs, 2.11 passing average, one ace).


Norcross tops South Forsyth

NORCROSS — Norcross evened its season record at 4-4 with a 25-18, 22-25, 25-14, 16-25, 20-18 win over visiting South Forsyth on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils’ top performers were Bella Murray (17 kills, 26 assists), Claire Catterton (18 kills), DeNaeja Morton (10 kills), Reesa Schroeder (24 digs) and Isabella Casagrande (24 assists).

Peachtree Ridge tops Collins Hill

SUWANEE — Peachtree Ridge won a five-set battle with Collins Hill on Tuesday 25-14, 19-25, 22-25, 25-23, 16-14.

Rian Watkins had a big night in the attack, Kelie Watkins led in blocks, libero Stephanie Hernandez led in digs and Zora Thomas paced the team in kills and aces.

Parkview splits

LILBURN — Parkview splits its matches Tuesday with Greater Atlanta Christian and Shiloh.

GAC beat the Panthers 17-25, 25-19, 15-12, but Parkview earned a split with a 25-11, 25-11 win over Shiloh.

Parkview (15-7) was led by Mai Mattson (11 kills), Jordan Godfree (10 assists, six aces) and Meg Youngblood (10 digs).

Brookwood falls twice

SNELLVILLE — Brookwood lost two home matches on Tuesday.

Mill Creek beat the Broncos 25-17, 25-13, and Duluth won 25-20, 25-23.

Brookwood was led by Lauryn Latimore (nine kills), Abby DeLoach (seven kills) and Katie Lerro (three aces).

Dacula sweeps on Senior Night

DACULA — Dacula was impressive in a pair of victories on Senior Night, defeating Meadowcreek and Loganville Christian on Tuesday.

The Falcons beat Meadowcreek 25-10, 25-5, and topped Loganville Christian 25-15, 25-7.

Eight seniors led the way for Dacula — Season Dickenson, Haile Cardwell, Claire Smith, Yashira Lopez, Mallory Horton, Nataly Flamenco, Loryn Liechty and Kaya Gusaef.

GAC wins twice

LILBURN — Greater Atlanta Christian won a pair of matches Tuesday night.

The Spartans topped Parkview 17-25, 25-19, 15-12, and defeated Shiloh 25-7, 25-7.

Wesleyan downs Forsyth Central

PEACHTREE CORNERS — Wesleyan picked up an exciting, 26-24, 26-24, 25-19 victory over Forsyth Central on Tuesday.

Avery Daum (13 kills) and Alden Pridgen (seven kills) led the Wolves’ attack, while Riley Bryan had 30 assists and 16 digs.

Providence goes 2-0

LILBURN — Providence Christian defeated Jackson 25-15, 16-25, 17-15, and beat Discovery 25-18, 25-14 on Tuesday.

The Storm (9-7) got four aces, eight kills and a .472 hitting percentage from Gabi Hartley, five aces and 15 kills from Maisy Hufford and five aces, 15 digs and 34 assists from Callie Chapman.
