Amanda Weir preps for Worlds with win in Atlanta

Amanda Weir

SwimAtlanta will host clinics with Olympians as instructors May 4 and 5 as a kick-off to the summer league season. All proceeds from the event go to Swim Across America, which funds cancer research and clinical trials.

Brookwood grad Amanda Weir is among the Olympians who will participate. She will be joined by fellow Olympians Olivia Smoliga, Jay Litherland, Doug Gjertsen and Matias Koski.

The clinic, which sold out last year, is open to swimmers ages 6 to 12, and is from 2 to 4 p.m. at SwimAtlanta’s Sugarloaf pool in Lawrenceville. Registration is limited to the first 50 swimmers who sign up per session. Cost is $50 per swimmer.
