Mountain View and Norcross split a swimming and diving tri-meet that also included Lanier on Saturday.

Mountain View won the girls division with 260 points to Norcross’ 242 and Lanier’s 113.

In the boys division, Norcross won with 259 points to Mountain View’s 195 and Lanier’s 175. The Blue Devils also won the combined points competition.

Mountain View’s event-winners were Jeff Rothwell (boys 200-yard freestyle, 1 minute, 54.58 seconds), Sarah-Grace Thompson (girls 200 free, 1:57.05 and 500 free, 5:08.50), Charlotte Thompson (girls 200 individual medley, 2:17.83), Jacob Ly (boys 50 free, 23.80 and 500 free, 5:32.93), Jenna Taylor (girls 50 free, 25.98 and 100 breaststroke, 1:11.12), Sam Tennell (boys diving, 188.75 points), Maggie Hennebaul (girls diving, 228.60) and Corinne Kuiters (girls 100 free, 58.57).

Norcross got first-place finishes from Josiah Solomon (boys 100 butterfly, 59.35), Catie Choate (girls 100 fly, 58.54 and 100 backstroke, 1:00.46), Luke Gries (boys 100 free, 53.91) and Zach Johnson (boys 100 back, 59.60).

Lanier’s only individual winner was Noah Richardson (boys 200 IM, 2:07.46 and 100 breast, 1:01.92).

Duluth, Peachtree Ridge win Twin ChallengeDuluth and Peachtree Ridge won the 10th annual Twin Challenge over Cobb County’s Kennesaw Mountain and Campbell this past weekend.

Duluth had 418 combined points and Peachtree Ridge had 384, while Kennesaw Mountain scored 402 and Campbell had 356. Duluth had the second-most points in the girls division with 226 and Peachtree Ridge had the second-most points in the boys competition with 218.5.

Duluth’s girls team posted five individual wins, including double-winners Amelia Hildebrand (200 free, 2:03.17 and 100 breast, 1:10.36) and Melody Giberson (50 free, 25.37 and 100 free, 55.58). Cameron Dukat also was first in the 200 IM (2:20.00).

Archer swims to sweepArcher’s swimming and diving team won both divisions of a meet with South Gwinnett and Shiloh over the weekend.

The Tigers’ 253 points in the girls meet topped Shiloh’s 163 and South’s 87. Archer’s winning total in the boys meet was 246, well ahead of South (117) and Shiloh (30).

First-place finishers for the Archer girls were Madilyn Hays (200 IM, 2:36.93 and 100 fly, 1:08.01) and Haley Woodall (50 free, 29.22).

The Tigers’ boys event-winners were Dustin McCleery (200 free, 2:22.36), Andrew Swain (200 IM, 2:44.88), Andrew Schnupp (50 free, 23.77 and 100 back, 1:01.73), John Murphy (100 fly, 1:08.38), Jacob Abney (100 free, 59.70) and Isaam Bradley (500 free, 5:52.13).

Shiloh’s individual wins were from Evan Swain (girls 200 free, 2:07.90 and 100 breast, 1:16.62), Korahlee Pierre (girls 100 free, 1:10.40 and 100 back, 1:17.27), Victoria McDonald (girls 500 free, 7:48.00) and Ethan Holtzman (boys 100 breast, 1:17.23).
