The Summerour Middle School girls finished fifth of 27 teams over the weekend at the Georgia Middle School State Cross Country Championships in Cochran.

The Summerour Middle School girls finished fifth of 27 teams over the weekend at the Georgia Middle School State Cross Country Championships in Cochran.

Kylie Dommert led Summerour, competing in the large school division, with an 18th-place finish individually in a two-mile time of 14 minutes, 10.52 seconds.

Summerour won six meets during the season — the North Georgia Championships, Carrollton Invitational, Gwinnett County Championships, Aubrae Gunderson Invitational, Bob Roller Invitational and Asics/Alexander Invitational.

Crews Middle’s Erin O’Brien was 10th individually in 14:00.12, Buford Middle’s Diana Plata was 20th in 14:18.53 and Creekland Middle’s Lauren Fath was 26th in 14:34.98.

In the boys large school meet, Crews’ Kadin McAlister finished sixth in 11:57.05.

Greater Atlanta Christian’s Alex Fallon was third in the girls medium school division in 13:23.82. In the girls small school division, Wesleyan’s Ali Di Lenardo was eighth in 14:08.68.
