Six Gwinnett high school volleyball players were honored with American Volleyball Coaches Association Best and Brightest Awards this week.

The awards honor high school seniors who excel athletically and academically.

Buford’s Camryn Carlton and Mikayla Hayden, Dacula’s Arissa Shepherd and Anna Beth Stokes and Greater Atlanta Christian’s Autumn Clark earned first-team honors for having a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Kiana Polk of Buford made the second team for a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
