Providence Christian tackles another spread offense this week at Riverside Military Academy. The Storm are looking to get back on track after four straight losses. They won the season opener, but since have faced a number of Class A's top teams.

Providence worked on correcting some of its mistakes Monday but then quickly turned to the installation of new wrinkles to the game plan.

“(The Eagles) have done a really good job of using their athletes,” Storm head coach Parker Conley said. “We hope we can use our scheme and discipline to counteract that. What it looks like is flying full speed to the ball and making plays in space.

“We have to make sure we pressure them. It's one of those things were we know what's in front of us, we just have to execute,”

Providence's offensive line is getting back to full strength. The Storm are employing a two-quarterback systems with Ryan Rose and Pierce Phillips. Running back Evan O'Leary, who played center against Commerce earlier this season when injuries took a toll, rushed for 84 yards last week.

“He's been battling injury, too, but he's been a workhorse,” Conley said. “We want to be able to use a lot of movement pre-snap to see what the defense is going to do, finding match-ups and finding where we can gain leverage.”
