KETTERING, Ohio — Grayson’s boys basketball team rolled to a 71-56 victory over Wayne (Ohio) in Saturday’s Flyin To The Hoop Showcase.

Caleb Murphy led the Rams (19-1) with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, and teammate Deivon Smith had 12 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Ian Schieffelin had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go with two blocked shots.

Grayson, which also got 10 points from Toneari Lane and seven points, four rebounds and three steals from Josh Smith, now travels to Springfield, Va., for a Monday game in the Kevin Durant MLK Classic.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Norcross 76, Rock Creek Christian (Md.) 71

SPRINGFIELD, Va. — J.T. Thor had a huge game with 31 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Norcross defeated Rock Creek Christian (Md.) 76-71 Saturday in the Kevin Durant MLK Classic.

Quincy Ademokoya gave the Blue Devils 18 points, making 4 of 8 3-pointers, and Josh Taylor had 11 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. Kevon Eskridge chipped in with nine points, five rebounds and four assists.

Norcross is now 20-2 on the season.

GAC 91, ELCA 67

SUGAR HILL — A big day from Cole Perusek sparked Greater Atlanta Christian to a 91-67 win over Eagle’s Landing Christian in the Sandy’s Spiel Showcase at Lanier. Perusek made eight shots from 3-point range and finished with 28 points.

Wesleyan 58, Mount Paran 51

PEACHTREE CORNERS — Tate Gilley scored 22 points Saturday in Wesleyan’s 58-51 victory over Mount Paran. Teammate Micah Smith added 13 points.

Providence 44, Brookstone 30

ATLANTA — Providence Christian defeated Brookstone 44-30 Saturday at State Farm Arena, improving to 20-1 on the season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lanier 51, Elbert County 30

SUGAR HILL — Host Lanier defeated Elbert County 51-30 Saturday in the Sandy’s Spiel Showcase.

The Longhorns were led by Christabel Ezumah (13 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, three steals), Zuriyah Davis (15 points, three assists), Morgan Manley (11 points, three rebounds, three assists) and Lizzie Campbell (four points, eight rebounds).

Buford 44, Jefferson 36

JEFFERSON — Buford rode its defense to a 44-36 victory at Jefferson on Saturday.

The Wolves held Jefferson to two points in the fourth quarter, offsetting a sluggish day offensively that included scoring just 13 points in the second half. Ashyia Willis led Buford (20-0) with nine points and Tatum Ozment scored eight.

Providence 33, Brookstone 31

ATLANTA — Sarah Ormond made two free throws with 34 seconds left for a one-point lead, and Providence Christian survived with a 33-31 win Saturday over Brookstone at State Farm Arena.

Megan Knight led the Storm with nine points, and the Providence defense was impressive, holding Brookstone to 9-for-62 shooting (14.5 percent).
