LAWRENCEVILLE – Discovery's boys basketball team opened its Region 6-AAAAAAA schedule with a 66-49 win over host Mountain View 66-49 on Tuesday.

London Riley led the Titans (4-5, 1-0) with 17 points and six rebounds. Charles Blamo helped with 16 points and seven boards.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Parkview 84, Meadowcreek 75

NORCROSS — Jason Edwards scored 42 points Tuesday night and powered Parkview to an 84-75 win at Meadowcreek. Edwards also had seven assists, five steals and four rebounds.

Avantae Harper (15 points, six rebounds) and Justin James (10 points, four rebounds) also scored in double figures for the Panthers.

Norcross 60, Brookwood 48

SNELLVILLE – Norcross downed host Brookwood 60-48 in a Region 7-AAAAAAA contest on Tuesday. J.T. Thor led the Blue Devils (6-0, 3-0) with 21 points. Josh Taylor and Kevon Eskridge scored 18 and 13, respectively, in the victory.

Varun Danak led the Broncos (3-4, 0-2) with 12 points.

Peachtree Ridge 59, Duluth 52

SUWANEE – Peachtree Ridge opened its Region 6-AAAAAAA slate with a 59-52 win over visiting Duluth on Tuesday.

Jaden Daniels led the Wildcats (1-6, 0-1) with 12 points while Trent Gordon added nine.

North Gwinnett 59, South Forsyth 51

SUWANEE – North Gwinnett notched its first win of the season, a 59-51 non-region win over South Forsyth on Tuesday.

R.J. Godfrey and Brendan Rigsbee each had 16 points to lead the Bulldogs (1-3). Kobe Jackson chipped in 14 points in the win.

South Gwinnett 63, Dacula 62

SNELLVILLE – South Gwinnett edged by visiting Dacula 63-62 in a non-region game on Tuesday.

Kevon Shepherd led the Comets with 21 points and seven rebounds. South also got 12 points and 13 rebounds from Jimaal Crump and 10 points, eight assists and seven rebounds from John Williams.

Khari Pearson led the Falcons (3-4) with 20 points. C.J. Carithers added 15 points while teammate Gabe Omoregie recorded 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds.

Archer 58, Cedar Shoals 43

LAWRENCEVILLE – Archer defeated visiting Cedar Shoals 58-43 on Tuesday. C.J. Hines led the Tigers (5-1) with 15 points. Brent Smith and Justin Edmondson each scored 13 while Areyon Johnson netted eight.

St. Pius 53, GAC 44

NORCROSS — Greater Atlanta Christian lost to St. Pius 53-44 Tuesday night.

Clifton Baskerville led the Spartans with 16 points, and Lamarr Randolph scored 15.

Wesleyan 61, Atlanta International 34

ATLANTA – Wesleyan defeated host Atlanta International 61-34 on Tuesday in Region 5-A. Jalen Fulwood and Thomas Chipman led the Wolves (2-0, 1-0) with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Hebron Christian 79, Elite Scholars Academy 36

DACULA – Hebron Christian defeated Elite Scholars 79-36 on Tuesday. Zach Calvert led the Lions (3-2) with 16 points and Sam Hutto added 13. Jerill Nix and Scott Gabel each scored 10 points in the win.

Brookwood 48, Norcross 40

SNELLVILLE – Brookwood notched a 48-40 Region 7-AAAAAAA win over Norcross on Tuesday.

Diana Collins led the Broncos (3-3, 2-0) with 17 points, six assists and seven steals. Selma Kulo added seven points and 10 rebounds while Tori Delk recorded 11 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Archer 67, Cedar Shoals 48

LAWRENCEVILLE – Archer downed visiting Cedar Shoals 67-48 in a non-region contest on Tuesday.

Taniya McGowan paced the Tigers (5-1) with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Cazia Nelson added 11 points, Thailand Smith scored 10 points and pulled down seven boards while Maya Jackson contributed nine points and 10 rebounds.

Collins Hill 59, Mill Creek 29

SUWANEE – Collins Hill defeated Mill Creek 59-29 in Region 6-AAAAAAA on Tuesday.

Eden Sample led the Eagles (4-0, 1-0) with 15 points. Sacha Washington scored 14, Kyra Jefferson and Kamryn Collins each scored 10 while Asjah Inniss chipped in with eight points.

Alexis Figures led Mill Creek (2-5, 0-1) with 15 points.

Discovery 51, Mountain View 37

LAWRENCEVILLE – Discovery bested Region 6-AAAAAAA foe Mountain View 51-37 on Tuesday. Keyara Wooden led the Titans (6-1,1-0) with 24 points. Akaya Chaney added nine points and seven rebounds in the win.

Parkview 65, Meadowcreek 15

NORCROSS – Parkview had no trouble dispatching Meadowcreek 65-15 on Tuesday in Region 7-AAAAAAA.

Sussy Ngulefac led the Panthers (4-5, 2-0) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Lily Hart notched 10 points and dished out six assists while Damaris Gaines added five assists and 10 steals for Parkview.

Peachtree Ridge 40, Duluth 36

SUWANEE – Peachtree Ridge held off Duluth 40-36 in Region 6-AAAAAA 40-36 on Tuesday. Nadya McCown led the Lions (4-1, 1-0) with 13 points while Aaliyah Hunt added seven in the win.

Dacula 46, South Gwinnett 33

SNELLVILLE – Dacula defeated host South Gwinnett 46-33 behind Lazaria Spearman's 14 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and three steals on Tuesday. Nyla Rose Moore added 12 points and six rebounds while Jin Sileo and Haneefat Adanijo each scored eight points for the Falcons (6-1).

Wesleyan 60, Atlanta International 21

ATLANTA – Wesleyan's Avyonce Carter scored 18 points to lead Wesleyan to an easy 60-21 Region 5-A win over Atlanta International in Tuesday.

Alyssa Phillip scored 13 points and added 12 rebounds and five steals. while Paige Lyons added 11 points and four assists for the Wolves (4-1. 1-0).
