LAWRENCEVILLE — Discovery's Mark McGuire threw a complete game no-hitter as the Titans defeated Berkmar 12-1 on Thursday.

Tyrique Leathers-Stone had two hits and drove in a pair of runs, Luis Rivera-Diaz had two hits and drove in three runs, Aaron Oesterle added two hits and an RBI while Gordon Brown contributed two hits and and RBI in the win.

BASEBALL

Mountain View 3, Collins Hill 0

LAWRENCEVILLE — Mountain View played long ball to defeat Collins Hill 3-0 in Region 6-AAAAAAA on Thursday. Garrett Spikes was the winning pitcher, going the distance and shutting down the Eagles by allowing six hits and striking out four. Spikes helped his own cause by blasting a two-run home run.

Kenny Mallory also homered for the Bears (20-9, 11-7), while Cole Johnston and Jubriel Felix each had a hit.

Dacula 9, Apalachee 5

WINDER — Dacula defeated Apalachee 9-5 in Region 8-AAAAAA on Thursday. Henry Helfrich led the Falcons with two hits and drove in a pair while Colson Crosby and Zack Devries contributed two hits and each drove in a run for Dacula (13-15, 8-7).

Dawson County 10, GAC 8

DAWSONVILLE — Greater Atlanta Christian fell to Dawson County 10-8 on Thursday. Shane Lussier led the Spartans with two hits and two RBIs. Jacob Fairbanks added a hit and drove in three runs while Trey Wooley had a hit and drove in two for GAC (14-11-1, 10-8).

Providence 5, Prince Avenue 1

LILBURN — Providence Christian defeated Prince Avenue 5-1 on Thursday. Simon Graf went six innings and allowed three hits, one run and struck out 11. Ben Johnson closed out the game with one inning in a non-save situation.

Zach Douglas led the Storm with three hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Joe Shealy added a hit and an RBI for the Storm (7-21, 5-5).

Lakeview Academy 7, Hebron 3

DACULA — Lakeview Academy defeated host Hebron Christian 7-3 on Thursday. Jason Lockhart hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run for the Lions (13-13, 7-3). Max Bennett had two hits and scored a run while Jackson Boyd hit a double and had an RBI.

BOYS TENNIS

Brookwood 3, Lambert 0

SNELLVILLE — Brookwood swept past Lambert 3-0 and into the Elite Eight of the Class AAAAAAA boys state tennis tournament on Thursday.

Thomas Montroy and Reuben Dayal won in singles, as did the doubles tandem of Chase Ruff and Michael Porcelli. The Broncos (17-1) will face Lassiter in next week's quarterfinal contest.

Buford 3, Riverwood 0

BUFORD — Buford blanked Riverwood 3-0 to advance to the Class AAAAA boys state tournament Elite Eight on Thursday.

Brady Todd, Dean Kingsley and Luke Davidson all won in singles in dominating fashion, losing only one game amongst all three matches. The Wolves improved to 17-4 on the season.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hebron 3, Holy Innocents' 2

ATLANTA — Hebron Christian girls tennis upset the No. 1-seeded Holy Innocents' squad in the first round of the Class A-Private state playoffs.

Nicole Restrepo and Jordan Lanham won in singles. The doubles tandem of Gabby Rice and Mary Blake Whittington helped clinch the match.

Hebron plays the winner of Whitefield Academy and First Presbyterian in the Elite Eight.

GIRLS SOCCER

Mill Creek 2, Grayson 0

LOGANVILLE — Mill Creek defeated host Grayson 2-0 on Thursday. Sammie Smith and Mo Amrozowicz scored goals while Sloan Spees and Savannah Lee Singleton provided the assists for the Hawks.

North Gwinnett 4, Chattahoochee 0

SUWANEE — North Gwinnett blanked visiting Chattahoochee 4-0 on Thursday. Aliah Kitchens scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs (12-3). Bree Barley and Kristen Wischmeier also scored goals while Kelly Hall and Graysen Asher combined in net for the shutout.

Wesleyan 5, Providence 0

LILBURN — Wesleyan defeated host Providence Christian 5-0 on Thursday. Ashley Cowart, Kris Laurite, Lilly Tapp, Emily Becker and Izzy Moratti scored goals for the Wolves (8-6-1, 5-1).

BOYS SOCCER

Mountain View 7, Jackson County 0

LAWRENCEVILLE — Mountain View's Jason Strambu scored four goals to lead the Bears past Jackson County 7-0 on Thursday. Chandler Evans, Nick Romero and Kevin Waku also scored for Mountain View (13-5).

Norcross 5, Duluth 3

NORCROSS — Norcross defeated Duluth 5-3 in the Rival Cup on Thursday. Cristian Obregon scored twice to lead the Blue Devils (8-7-1). Cristhian Rugamas, Steven Cardona and Alex Bueno also scored. Norcross will face Mountain View next week in the opening round of the Class AAAAAAA state playoffs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Mountain View 15, GAC 4

NORCROSS — Mountain View's Lily Clawson scored six goals to lead the Bears to a 15-4 win over Greater Atlanta Christian on Thursday. Reagan Utley scored four times while Maria Palomba tallied three goals. Shelby Glasgow made seven saves for Mountain View (13-2).

Brookwood 19, Archer 16

SNELLVILLE — Brookwood defeated Archer 19-16 on Thursday as the Broncos' Ellie Rey scored 10 goals and dished out three assists. Ella Fornek and Emily Cole chipped in with three goals each for Brookwood.

BOYS LACROSSE

Collins Hill 16, Brookwood 3

SUWANEE — Collins Hill rolled past Brookwood 16-3 on Thursday. Strickland Palmer had five goals and three assists to lead the Eagles (11-4), who secured the second seed for the region in the state playoffs with the win.

Ryan Delsavio and Jacob Davidson each scored three goals while Miller Horn collected nine ground balls.

Wesleyan 14, North Oconee 1

PEACHTREE CORNERS — Wesleyan trounced North Oconee 14-1 on Thursday. Michael Nicklaus led the Wolves (9-6) with five goals. Vance Nicklaus contributed two goals and dished out four assists, while Bennett Harrison added two goals and an assist.
