Archer's Faith Barth

SUWANEE — Faith Barth and Alex Hollingsworth powered Archer to a 5-1 victory at Collins Hill on Wednesday.

Barth was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs for the Tigers (4-1, 1-0). Hollingsworth also was 2-for-4 with a homer and a double.

They had plenty of help, though. Olivia Craig was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Katie Moore was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Kailynn James pitched a complete game for the win with seven hits, one earned run and four strikeouts.

SOFTBALL

Norcross 5, Buford 3

BUFORD — Emma O'Dell hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to boost Norcross past Buford 5-3 on Wednesday.

Ann-Margaret Jones led the Blue Devils (5-5) on offense, going 2-for-4 with a double two runs scored and an RBI. Serenity Starr and Kedzie Howe each added two hits, while Bella Krauth picked up the complete-game win on the mound.

Grayson 9, Loganville 3

LOGANVILLE — Kylie Macy had 11 strikeouts and Grayson stayed unbeaten with a 9-3 win over Loganville on Wednesday.

Macy allowed just one hit and one run in five innings for the Rams (5-0).

Aaliyah White led the offense with two hits. Lauren Peppers had a hit and an two RBIs, while Kailyn Jones and Skyler Gilbert finished with a hit and an RBI.

Dacula 8, Hebron Christian 4

DACULA — Tied 4-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Dacula exploded for four unanswered runs to top Hebron Christian 8-4 on Wednesday.

Jin Sileo led the hit parade with a 3-for-4 performance that included an home run for Dacula (8-2). Erin Watt was 2-for-3, while Colby Waugh was 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs.

Maia Mumfield earned the win, going all seven innings.

Layton Morris and Jessie Parish went 2-for-4 for Hebron Christian (2-3). Sydney Harris and Mary-Blake Whittington were 1-for-4 with a run scored.

Fellowship Christian 11, Providence Christian 2

ROSWELL — Providence Christian dropped its region opener 11-2 to Fellowship Christian on Wednesday.

Hannah Nolan was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Storm (0-7, 0-1), while Sydney Flood had a double and an RBI.

VOLLEYBALL

Norcross picks up pair of wins

NORCROSS — Janna Schlageter pounded out 16 kills to lead Norcross' attack in wins over Roswell (25-18, 16-25, 15-13) and Archer (25-10, 25-9) on Wednesday.

Serenity Owens added 10 kills and Claire Catterton finished with 11, while Bella Murray dished out 37 assists for the Blue Devils (7-3).

GAC sweeps Wesleyan, Northview

PEACHTREE CORNERS — Greater Atlanta Christian swept Wesleyan and Northview on Wednesday to improve to 8-3 on the season.

Autumn Clark, Naya Ohuabunwa and Ali Schreiber helped serve up 25-20, 25-22 and 25-14, 25-19 wins.

Wesleyan also fell to Northview in match that went the distance, 21-25, 25-22, 11-15. Grace Carroll led with 10 kills, while Alden Pridgen added nine and Sophia Shaffer had eight for the Wolves (6-6).
