NORCROSS — Norcross' softball team swept past visiting Lambert 3-2 and 8-6 in the first round of the Class AAAAAAA state tournament on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils will face the winner of the Marietta-Colquitt County series in the second round.

Emma O'Dell's two-run double in the sixth inning of Game 1 put Norcross on top 3-2 for the game-winner. Bella Krauth tossed a complete game in the circle and struck out six to earn the win. Kedzie Howe and Sierra Blackburn each had two hits.

Krauth also earned the win in the clincher as she went five innings before Blackburn went the final two to earn the save. Krauth helped her own cause with two hits and scored three runs. Faith Lawrence added three hits and scored twice while Howe and Blackburn each contributed a pair of hits for the Blue Devils (17-11).
