After an outstanding sophomore season, Mountain View junior Kenny Mallory has made an early decision on his college baseball future by making a verbal commitment to play for reigning College World Series champion Vanderbilt.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound outfielder/left-handed pitcher was a big factor for the Bears in their 20-11 season that included a Class AAAAAAA state playoff berth by posting team bests with a .400 average and five home runs, plus 28 RBIs.

Mallory also contributed a 3-1 record with a 3.00 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings on the mound.
