Hebron’s Hayden McGee (15) goes for a kill against Walker during the state championship match at McEachern High School earlier this month. The Lions eventually won the state title, and McGee is the 2019 Gwinnett Daily Post Volleyball Player of the Year.

Hebron Christian’s Hayden McGee and Norcross’ Janna Schlageter earned the top awards on the All-Gwinnett Volleyball Team selected by the county’s coaches.

McGee was voted the Class AAAAAA-A player of the year, and Schlageter was the AAAAAAA player of the year.

State champion Hebron also was named AAAAAA-A team of the year, and the Lions’ Taylor Davis was coach of the year.

In AAAAAAA, Mill Creek was selected as team of the year, and the Hawks’ Bo Adams was coach of the year.

The coaches also recognized all-county teams and a scholar-athlete award winner from each school. Those honorees are as follows:
