The Gwinnett County Cross Country and Track and Field Hall of Fame has announced its latest list of inductees who will be honored later this year.
This year’s class features two past athletes, Brookwood’s Kathryn Crissman and Wesleyan’s Cristan Duvall. Crissman was a state runner-up in cross country and county champion in both 1985 and 1986. She also won the region title in 1986. Duvall was a three-time state champion, winning the Class AA title in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
The third inductee is former Brookwood coach John Zwald, whose cross country teams won state in 1986, finished as state runner-up in 1984, won county in 1984 and 1985 and won region in 1984 and 1985. He also won a state track and field title in 1985.
The trio will be celebrated Dec. 4 at the Gwinnett County Cross Country All-County Banquet, hosted at Meadowcreek High School at 6:30 p.m.
