Speedy Dacula athlete Chris Scott announced his commitment to the North Carolina State football program Monday.
The 6-foot, 170-pound senior, who played wide receiver and defensive back for the Falcons, was originally committed to Eastern Kentucky in the summer before opening his recruitment back up. He is the third Gwinnett senior committed to N.C. State, joining Archer’s Ethan Lane and Brookwood’s Sean Hill, both offensive linemen.
Scott helped Dacula to the state semifinals each of the past two seasons, catching 31 passes for 832 yards and four touchdowns this season. He had 33 catches for 606 yards and seven TDs as a senior. He also was an all-county selection in track and field as a junior after placing fifth in the 200-meter dash and sixth in the 100 at the state meet.
