SNELLVILLE – North Gwinnett baseball rolled to a 16-3 victory at Brookwood on Friday.

Michael Borah led the offense with four hits and two RBIs, and Will Bennett added three hits and a home run. Jarrett Burney recorded three hits and three RBIs, while Parker Waggoner also had three hits and drove in two runs. Brandt Prancer was the beneficiary of all the offensive firepower to earn the win on the mound for North (6-3).


Norcross 4, Lanier 2

NORCROSS – Norcross doubled up visiting Lanier 4-2 on Friday in a non-region game.

Zachary Miller went five innings for the Longhorns (3-6) and allowed five hits, no earned runs and struck out five. Jake Ludwig had two hits while Craig Mitchell had a pinch hit single and scored an run for Lanier.

Dacula 4, Rockdale County 1

DACULA – Dacula defeated Rockdale County 4-1 on Friday. Jarrett Jenkins went four innings to earn the win while Gage Felton tossed three frames to notch the save.

Jojo Lopez, Marcerio Allen and Henry Helfrich all provided run scoring singles for the Falcons (4-7).

Westminster 11, Providence Christian 3

ATLANTA – Westminster used multiple unearned runs to defeat Providence Christian 11-3 on Friday.

Simon Graf was the tough luck losing pitcher for the Storm. Graf threw 4 2/3 innings and allowed two hits, struck out eight and did not allow an earned run, though four unearned runs scored.

Joe Shealy had two hits, Crawford Hansard added a hit, run and stolen base while Sam Aurelia poked a double and scored for Providence Christian (1-10).


Brookwood 2, Lakeside-DeKalb 1

ATLANTA – Brookwood rallied for a 2-1 win over Lakeside-DeKalb on Friday in a match played at Silverbacks Park.

The Broncos trailed 1-0 but tied the game before half and scored the game winner with eight minutes remaining. Deyonna Groce and Stella Allen scored goals for Brookwood (5-1).

Mountain View 6, Discovery 0

LAWRENCEVILLE – Mountain View shut out host Discovery 6-0 on Friday.

Kennedy Jackson scored twice the lead the Bears (5-4-1, 1-0). Alli Flat had a goal and three assists while Sam Romaine added a goal and dished out two assists. Katie Reinhart and Isabel Felger also scored for Mountain View as Shelby Suppes recorded the shutout in goal.

North Gwinnett 2, Collins Hill 0

SUWANEE – North Gwinnett blanked Collins Hill 2-0 on Friday as Aliah Kitchens scored both goals for the Bulldogs (6-2, 1-0). Kelly Hall had the shutout in goal for North.

Mill Creek 5, Duluth 0

HOSCHTON – Mill Creek shut out Region 6-AAAAAAA opponent Duluth 5-0 on Friday. Ari Aronoff scored twice while Ali Amrozowicz, Nicole Ward and Alexa Aronoff with a goal apiece. The Hawks are now 2-0 in the region.

Shiloh 3, Newton 2

SNELLVILLE – Shiloh downed visiting Newton 3-2 on Friday.

Greater Atlanta Christian 3, Brookstone 0

NORCROSS – Greater Atlanta Christian blanked Brookstone 3-0 on Friday. Molly Pritchard scored two goals to lead the Spartans (7-3). Micah Bryant scored a goal and Payton Gulley added two assists in the victory.

Wesleyan 1, Buford 0

PEACHTREE CORNERS – Wesleyan defeated Buford 1-0 on Friday. Caroline Hayes' second-half goal lifted Wesleyan (2-3-1).


Mountain View 2, Discovery 1

LAWRENCEVILLE – Mountain View doubled up host Discovery 2-1 on Friday. Jason Stambu scored twice while Joel Ponce and Chandler Evans provided assists on those goals for the Bears (7-3, 1-0).

Shiloh 3, Newton 0

SNELLVILLE – Shiloh downed visiting Newton 3-2 on Friday. Jorge Quiquivix scored twice and Erick Quiquivix tallied once to lead the Generals.

Dacula 2, Gainesville 1 (PK)

DACULA – Dacula defeated Gainesville 2-1, 7-6 on penalty kicks on Friday. Andrew Chica scored on a crossing header in regulation for the Falcons (4-3, 3-0).

Wesleyan 5, Riverside Military 0

PEACHTREE CORNERS – Wesleyan defeated Riverside Military 5-0 on Friday behind two goals from Liam Coxhead. Alex Cardile, Jonathan Lopez and Fletcher Morris also scored goals while Aiden Kresl had the shutout in goal for the Wolves (4-3).


Mountain View 21, Lanier 3

LAWRENCEVILLE – Mountain View ran past Lanier 21-3 on Friday. Amberly McCorkle paced the Bears (5-1) with three goals and an assist. Reagan Utley provided two goals and dished out four assists while Bella Darwish scored twice.

Wesleyan 18, Kennesaw Mountain 10

PEACHTREE CORNERS – Wesleyan defeated visiting Kennesaw Mountain 18-10 on Friday. Whitaker Welch scored seven goals while Chloe Hangartner scored six times to lead the Wolves (3-4).


Mill Creek 18, Brookwood 4

SNELLVILLE – Mill Creek defeated Brookwood 18-4 on Friday.

Willie Grieco had six goals and four assists for the Hawks. Wyatt Peek had three goals and three assists. Sean Proctor also scored three times and assisted on goal. Nick Kava had two goals and Andrew Duffy tacked on one with an assist. 

Tyler Banfield scored all four goals for the Broncos while Joseph Garcia provided a strong game on face offs.

Greater Atlanta Christian 17, North Oconee 1

NORCROSS – Greater Atlanta Christian swept past visiting North Oconee 17-1 on Friday.

Michael Malone led the Spartans (3-3, 2-0) with four goals. Mason Duriez added three goals and added four assists, Joseph Rose provided three goals and an assist while Josh Rose scored three times. Aidan Bailey and Eli Keadey were 13-for-17 on faceoffs.


Buford 3, Starr’s Mill 2

PEACHTREE CITY — Brady Todd, Dean Kingsley and Luke Davidson won in singles Friday and Buford opened the Peachtree City Tennis Championships with a 3-2 victory over Starr’s Mill.


Buford 4, Niceville (Fla.) 1

PEACHTREE CITY — A sweep of the doubles points helped Buford to a 4-1 win over Niceville (Fla.) in the Peachtree City Tennis Championships.

Sydney Grothe and Izzy Brewer gave the Wolves one doubles point, and while Kennedy Deloach and Sophie Brewer also won in doubles. Alex Mann and Caroline Henderson picked up the singles wins.
