BOYS

• Player of the Year: Drew Wendel, Sr., Brookwood

In his first season at No. 1 singles, the senior went 21-4 overall, including an undefeated record in Region 8-AAAAAA in which he lost just four total games, and lost just two matches to an opponent from Georgia in helping the Broncos to the Class AAAAAA state championship

• Coach of the Year: Bill Shields, Brookwood

In his first season as head coach, Shields guided the Broncos to the Class AAAAAA state championship, their second state title in the last three seasons and seventh overall

FIRST TEAM

Singles

• Quentin Lavender, Sr., Mill Creek

Went 19-2 at No. 1 singles for the Hawks

• Alex Makarenko, Sr., Peachtree Ridge

Was 9-3 at No. 1 singles, plus 2-0 while playing at No. 1 doubles for the Lions

• Chris Willis, Sr., Norcross

Posted 12-5 record at No. 1 singles for the Blue Devils

Doubles

• Matt Jones, Sr. and Will McWhirt, Jr., Brookwood

Went undefeated at No. 1 doubles in Region 8-AAAAAA for the second straight season. The UT-Chattanooga signee was also unbeaten against all Gwinnett opponents

• Jake Inderrieden, Sr. and Marcus Maloney, Sr., Collins Hill

Was 16-2 at No. 1 doubles. Inderrieden is school record holder in wins. Maloney is No. 5 all time in wins and No. 2 in doubles wins

GIRLS

• Player of the Year: Abby Owens, Sr., Peachtree RidgeThe senior went 21-1 in her first season at No. 1 singles in helping the Lions to a Class AAAAAA state runner-up finish for the second straight season. The LSU signee finished her career with a 71-4 varsity record

• Coach of the Year: Chrissie Bolt, Peachtree Ridge

Bolt guided the Lions to their fourth straight Region 7 championship in the state's highest classification, including the second straight state runner-up finish, this time at Class AAAAAAA

Singles

• Evangeline Crist, Jr., Providence

Went undefeated at 24-0 as the Storm's No. 1 singles player

• Nicki Neal, Jr. Dacula

Went perfect 15-0 at No. 1 singles for the Falcons. Has lost just 30 total games over last two seasons

• Hannah Sardinia, Sr., North Gwinnett

Was 15-4 overall at No. 1 singles and 15-2 against Gwinnett competition for the Bulldogs, with the only two losses coming to Owens

Doubles

• Kaitlin English, Soph. and Leila Jordan, Soph., Wesleyan

Went 12-4 at No. 1 doubles for the Wolves

• Haley Wix, Sr. and Emma Etelalahti, Soph., North Gwinnett

Went 15-3 overall at No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs, including 15-0 vs. Gwinnett opponents
