Mill Creek senior football player Patrick Dike was selected to receive the Win For Wyn Foundation Scholarship, which is presented by Hawks assistant football coach Tommy Scott and his wife Stephanie.
The award is named in honor of Wyn Scott, the couple's son who was born prematurely and fought to live for 25 days, and rewards exceptional strength, character and determination.
Dike was a key player last season for the Hawks' defense, which helped the team reach the Class AAAAAA state quarterfinals.
