In addition to the five seniors who were already committed, the addition of two more seniors extended Parkview's list of signees to seven.
And Panthers coach Cecil Flowe was ecstatic not only for the athletic achievements of defensive end Micah Finley, who signed with Division II Valdosta State, and receiver Jay Turner, who has been invited to try out at Division I-AA Coastal Carolina, but also their patience and perseverance.
Flowe also pointed out a former Panther standout, whom he said provided a fine example for Finley and Turner.
"It's where they need to go," Flowe said. "It's like Kenny Flowers (who signed with Auburn out of junior college Wednesday), it's a great success story. He took the road, he did well on it, and look where he's at now. It all pays off."
