AAU track meet coming to Gwinnett

JackRabbit Track Club will host the first youth track and field invitational in Gwinnett County.

The meet will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville. Admission if $5 for adults and $3 for students.

The meet will feature some of the top track youth athletes in the state and the country. Makzenzie Dunmore of Boys and Girls Track Club is one of the top 200-meter and 400 meter female athletes in the country.

Alexandria Andrews from Tacyon Track Club in one of Georgia's top sprinters and Marielle Lewis of Gazelle Track club is ranked seventh in the 800.

JackRabbit will have their own host of national ranked track and field athletes. Khalil Anderson ranked second in the 400. Austin Wainwright is a top 10 sprinter in the 100. Mossiah Carter is the reigning 200 and 400 national champion for 8 year olds. Mathew Walton was an All-American in the 1,500 and 3,000 meter runs. Female sprinters Kimberly Harris and Jasmine Jones return from the top 400 relay team that is ranked eighth in the nation.

Other top clubs scheduled to attend are Lightning Spikes, Georgia Favor and The Heat & Impact Athletics.
