BUFORD -- Collins Hill advanced to the semifinals of the Gwinnett County Girls Lacrosse Tournament with a 13-4 win over Duluth on Friday.
Carly Marksberry scored three goals and had an assist, while Kara Knapik also scored three times and Laura Lawrence added four assists for the Eagles. Ali Cole scored two goals to lead the Wildcats (2-1).
Collins Hill will face Mill Creek at 12:30 today.
Peachtree Ridge 14, North 9
BUFORD -- Peachtree Ridge moved on the Gwinnett County Girls Lacrosse Tournament with a 14-9 over North Gwinnett Friday. The Lions (1-0) will face Wesleyan at 12:30 p.m. today in the semifinals. Michelle Fortier scored six goals and had an assist for Peachtree Ridge. Caitlin Palanza added three goals and two assists, while Kayla Jones scored once and dished out five assists.
Lauren Aycock led the Bulldogs (1-1) with four goals, while Erica Smith had three goals. Tiffany Romero added eight ground balls.
Wesleyan 17, Parkview 7
BUFORD -- Wesleyan knocked off Parkview 17-7 Friday in the Gwinnett County Girls Lacrosse Tournament. Caroline Jordan scored seven goals to lead the Wolves (1-1). Lindsay Moore added three goals. Wesleyan's defense was led by Sydney Stone, Abi Irwin and Emily Farrow. The Wolves face Peachtree Ridge in the semifinals of the tournament today at 12:30 p.m.
Brookwood 23, Mountain View 2
BUFORD -- Paige Miller and Taylor Stercay each scored six goals as Brookwood defeated Mountain View 23-2 Friday in a consolation game at the Gwinnett County Girls Lacrosse Tournament. Stercay also had three ground balls for the Broncos (1-1). Lindsey Thompson added five goals and five ground balls, while Brittany Marquis had three goals and five ground balls. Courtney Ross made six saves in goal. Brookwood faces Parkview today.
McIntosh 12, Wesleyan 8
NORCROSS -- Wesleyan lost its boys lacrosse season opener to McIntosh 12-8 Friday. Miles Laughlin scored four goals for the Wolves (0-1), while Blake Davis added two goals.
GAC 15, Brookwood 2
NORCROSS -- Greater Atlanta Christian opened its boys lacrosse season with a 15-2 win over Brookwood Friday. Peter Whiteneck scored five goals and had two assists to lead the Spartans (1-0). Gunner Cape put in four goals, while Whit Anderson added two goals and four assists. Stuart Butler made six saves.

SUWANEE -- Collins Hill picked up its first boys lacrosse win of the season with an 8-7 win over North Forsyth Friday. Holin Axley and Tim Singer each scored two goals for the Eagles (1-1).
Lassiter 11, Peachtree Ridge 8
SUWANEE -- Peachtree Ridge fell to 0-2 for the first time in school history with an 11-8 loss to Lassiter Friday in boys lacrosse. Steven Lee scored three goals for the Lions, while Doug Poedtke added two goals.
Norcross 8, Duluth 5
NORCROSS -- Cam Coval scored five goals to lead Norcross in an 8-5 win over Duluth Friday. Brendan Herr made 16 saves in the win for the Blue Devils (1-1).
Mill Creek 1, Etowah 0
WOODSTOCK -- Alex Ford scored in the third minute and that was all that Mill Creek's girls soccer team needed to beat Etowah 1-0 Friday. Courtney Dobeck had the assist for the Hawks (3-0). Rachel Allred earned the shutout with three saves.
West Hall 3, Lanier 1
OAKWOOD -- Lanier suffered its first loss of the girls soccer season, falling 3-1 at the feet of West Hall Friday. Andrea Araya scored the only goal for the Longhorns (3-1).
Wesleyan 4, Pinecrest 1
NORCROSS -- Maddie Hall scored two goals as unbeaten Wesleyan knocked off Pinecrest Academy 4-1 Friday in girls soccer. Hannah Duane and Savannah Newman each added a goal for the Wolves (2-0-1, 1-0). Christina Moraitis had two assists.
Providence 3, Hebron 2
DACULA -- Providence won its fourth straight to start the girls soccer season with a 3-2 victory over Hebron Friday. Brooke Kelly scored the game-winning goal for the Stars (4-0). Allie Petmecky and Robyn Lowndes also scored goals, with assists from Autumn Philo and Lauren Hoyt.
Alexa Allen and McKenzie Towe each scored for the Lions (1-1-1).
Archer 4, Apalachee 2
WINDER -- Megan Wilson had a hat trick to lead Archer's girls soccer team to a 4-2 win over Apalachee Friday. Gabrielle Coumes scored the other goal for the Tigers (3-1).

SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett rallied from a 2-1 halftime deficit to beat Chattahoochee 4-2 in girls soccer Friday. Brooke Bortles had two goals to lead the Bulldogs (2-2). Lauren Harriman added a goal and an assist, while Katie Strand put in the other score. McKenzie Loula had two assists, while Abby Grest had another assist.
Dacula 2, Mountain View 1
DACULA -- Makayla Clack scored two goals, including the game winner in overtime, as Dacula beat Mountain View 2-1 in girls soccer on Friday. Siara Zedonek and Sydney Thomas each had an assist for the Falcons (2-1-1).

SUWANEE -- James Lee scored the game's only goal with three minutes left as North Gwinnett beat Chattahoochee 1-0 Friday in boys soccer. Logan Drew made three saves to get the shutout for the Bulldogs (1-4).

DACULA -- Providence, the No. 1 ranked boys soccer team in Class A, held off Hebron 3-2 Friday. Josh Platillero scored two goals to lead the Stars (1-2). Will Lowndes added another goal. Zion Gray and goalie Evan Flowers each had an assist. Bailey Pinto and Cole Redman each scored goals for the Lions (2-1).

WINDER -- Rashid Alarape scored three goals to lead Archer's boys soccer team to a 5-3 win over Apalachee Friday. Trenton Whitely and Jamie Zambrano also scored a goal for the Tigers (2-1-1).

ATHENS -- Darrell Walters scored two goals as Meadowcreek's boys soccer team beat Clarke Central 6-1 Friday. Ever Menjivar, Chris Morgan, Ermis Velasquez and Christian Acosta each scored once for the Mustangs (2-0).

DACULA -- Dustin Stowe scored three goals as Mountain View beat Dacula 5-2 in boys soccer Friday. Jonathan Sayers had a goal and an assist for the Bears (2-1). Diego Sanchez also scored a goal, while David Illescas had three assists. Jeff Hollingsworth made 15 saves for Mountain View.

DULUTH -- Duluth blanked Mt. Pisgah 9-0 in boys soccer Friday. Daye Jack and Carlos Velarosa each scored two goals for the Wildcats (2-1-1).

WOODSTOCK -- Nick Muntean scored three goals and added two assists as Mill Creek beat Etowah 7-0 in boys soccer Friday. T.J. Hoppines added two goals and an assist for the Hawks (3-0). Tyler Moody scored a goal and had two assist, while Brandon O'Toole put in the other goal. Steven Arroyave and Conner Buckley combined on the shutout.

MILTON -- Norcross dropped a tough boys soccer match to Milton 1-0 Friday.
Loganville 12, Dacula 3
DACULA -- Dacula's baseball team lost to Loganville 12-3 Friday. Brandyn Bartlett (0-1) gave up four unearned runs in the three innings to get the loss. Travis Vanderhorst was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Falcons (0-2). Michael Barnes and Morgan Loyd were also 2-for-3. Matt Cole added an RBI double.
Lanier 10, Cedar Shoals 0
SUGAR HILL -- Matthew Ramsay pitched a one-hit shutout as Lanier beat Cedar Shoals 10-0 in five innings of baseball Friday. Ramsay struck out five for the Longhorns (1-1). Kameron Doster went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. T.J. Richardson was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Stephen Rusch also drove in two runs. Taylor Grant went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Riverwood 6, Shiloh 5
SANDY SPRINGS -- Shiloh lost its baseball opener to Riverwood 6-5 Friday. Josh Nance was 1-for-2 with two RBIs for the Generals (0-1). Chase Waters and Cletis Avery also each knocked in a run. Michael Houchin stole three bases. Jamarkus George was the losing pitcher.
Pope 12, Norcross 5
NORCROSS -- Tanner Maloof had three hits, but Norcross' baseball team lost to Pope 12-5 Friday. Maloof went 3-for-5 with three singles, an RBI and three stolen bases for the Blue Devils. Jascanel Ferreras was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Chris Raasch was the losing pitcher. He allowed five hits in six innings to go with four strikeouts.
Meadowcreek 11, Cross Keys 1
ATLANTA -- Eric Arp pitched a complete game as Meadowcreek won its second straight baseball game with a 11-1 victory over Cross Keys Friday. The game was called after six innings because of the mercy rule. Shea Williams, Austin Bernard, Chris Custodio and Johnathan Arnold each had two hits for the Mustangs (2-2).
Meadowcreek also beat up on Clarkston 16-0 Thursday in three innings. Shea Wilkey was the winning pitcher. Arnold was 3-for-3, while Cameron Bourbonnias was 2-for-2.
Mountain View 14, Brunswick 3
BRUNSWICK -- Crew Peery had two hits and three RBIs to lead Mountain View's baseball team in a 14-3 win over Brunswick Friday in the Baseball at the Beach Tournament. Brandon Griffin added two hits and two RBIs for the Bears (3-0). Ben Utley, Alex Deples and Josh Osburn also had two hits. Garry Gwaltney gave up no runs and one hit in two innings to get the win. He also struck out two.
GAC 11, Whitefield Academy 3
NORCROSS -- Ross Wood had three hits, including a triple, as Greater Atlanta Christian beat Whitefield Academy 11-3 in baseball Friday. Greg Burland went 2-for-4 with a triple for the Spartans (3-0).
